John is a 10-year-old boy who wants to be a pilot. The youngest of three children, John was orphaned after his father died in an accident and his mother died from AIDS. John’s grandmother opened her house to him and his siblings, but due to the financial burden of caring for three children in addition to her own, John’s grandmother placed him in JFM where he can receive food, shelter, clothing, and an education. John now attends Lenana Primary School.
