In 2017, inspired by Mama Joyce’s profound compassion and unwavering dedication, Kenneth and Beatrice founded Jeremiah’s Family Ministry in the U.S. as a 501(c)(3) organization. This organization was created to support and to sustain Mama Joyce’s vital work of nurturing at-risk children in Narok, Kenya. Mama Joyce’s journey began with her youngest son, Jeremiah, who lovingly gathered neighborhood children for reading and soccer. Their home became a sanctuary, offering comfort and meals. After Jeremiah's tragic death in 2010, Mama Joyce continued to provide for these children, despite her own hardships, creating a place of refuge for many.
By early 2016, the increasing number of children in need led Social Services to require proper housing to continue Mama Joyce’s mission. Kenneth and Beatrice, driven by their faith and a deep commitment to this cause, traveled to Kenya to establish a Kenyan Community-Based Organization to address the needs of the children and community in Narok, overcoming poverty, child abuse, abandonment and early marriage for children.
Today, the organization works closely with the local Kenyan government and community leaders. We invite you to join us in this ongoing story of hope and transformation. Your support will help sustain Mama Joyce’s legacy of love, providing a haven and a brighter future for countless children in need and community.
